How to manage two ereaders
Hello, I'm sure there is an obvious answer to this, but it is not obvious to me.
We have two Sony ereaders and two library cards. Both library cards and ereaders are authorised and recognised by ADE but I can only download library books to one device. If I download to the other ereader instead, not as well, I get the copy protected sign and cannot open the book.
If any has a solution I will be very grateful.

Can I update ADE Ver 1.7.2 to Ver 3.0 on my XP notebook and will the books automatically transfer.
I would like to update from ADE 1.7.2 to version 3.0 but am hesitating because, although the notebook is still working fine, its is using Windows XP and I am not sure if Ver 3.0 works under XP. My second cause for concern is whether my current books will automatically transfer to Ver 3.0 or will I have to reload them and will I run into any authorization problems.
If it is not a good idea to update on my XP notebook, can I load version 3.0 on my laptop (running Vista) and/or my desktop (running Windows 7) and use the same Adobe ID? I currently have the notebook, a sony reader and a kobo reader authorized.

Audiobook download into Adobe DIgital Edition using Overdrive
I recently downloaded Overdrive which is the application used to download audiobooks from my county library into Adobe Digital Edition. When I try to download Audiobooks I get an error message saying "Windows cannot open this file....To open this file Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it......"
The Overdrive program is not listed in my Windows Vista...Could you advise me?.

Is there an option that we can use to see how many times I have downloaded a particular book. When I try it says I have reached my limit.

I have had a bad experience with Kobo stores trying to purchase and download a book
It took 4 hours to sort this problem with on-line help. Brilliant on-line assistance by KOBO, by the way.
I do not wish to repeat this experience. I am looking for an alternative ebook store - like ebooks.com. However, I have become wary now and would need this question answered conclusively before I 'try again':
If I download a book from ebooks.com in PDF format to my PC, can I transfer this book to my Kobo Mini reader which accepts only epub - but I could convert using Calibre - as well as also download it to the KOBO reader of my wife.
In other words, if I download an ebook onto my PC can I share this book with to ereader and also to my wife's ereader?
I would appreciate a definite and reliable answer....like YES or NO, thanks!

Since changing our computer I have been unable to download ebooks to my Reader Library I get a message Some file types associated with EPUB files are not associated with Reader Library; Waterstones suggest that I may have accidentally created a new Adobe
When I try to download them from the Waterstones website I get a message saying:
‘Some file types associated with EPUB files are not associated with Reader Library. Do you want to associate them now? When I reply yes I get another message; ‘Configuration error unable to update EPUB files check network firewall and try again’.
The ‘books’ are saved in the Download directory and I can’t transfer them from there to my E-Reader. I have not had any problems before, it was very simple; I saved the download and it automatically went into the Reader Library.
I contacted HP and they said it is a software error and suggested I contact Waterstones. I contacted Waterstones Customer Support and got the following response:
As the error message is specifically mentioning the firewall it does sound like something in the firewall settings is stopping the download from taking place correctly. However, the files should not be being saved to the Download folder. It would be worth trying again by going to your Digital Order History on your Waterstones.com account and pressing the download button, and then making sure to press "Open" not "Save". When you press Open rather than Save it should give the option to open the file with Adobe Digital Editions. If the firewall message still comes up then I'm afraid something is blocking it on your end.
If the above "Open" download method works but you then still get an error message it could possibly be that you have accidentally created a new Adobe ID when setting up on the new computer, rather than signing in with your old Adobe ID. It would be worth trying the aforementioned download technique again first, but if problems did still persist it would be worth calling Adobe themselves on 0207 365 0735, as they should be able to sort out any account issue.
In response to the first para of Waterstones email I already do what they suggest I do press ‘Open’ not ‘Save’ but I don’t get the open with Adobe Digital Editions (we have installed Adobe Digital Editions on the new computer. Waterstones say we may have ‘accidentally created a new Adobe ID when setting up the new computer’ does that mean that we shouldn’t have installed Adobe Digital Editions on the new computer as it would have already been there? How do I sign in with my old Adobe ID?

Can't copy my book to my e-reader
I am trying to drag my e-book to my e-reader withing Adobe Digital Additions. the book is sitting there but when I drag it to my e-reader the following message comes up - CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book. I paid for the book and it came up on Adobe but i can't drag it to my e-reader. AAAARRRGGGGG
