Hi there! I have just purchased some books and I am trying to get them downloaded. I first had an authorization problem that I managed to fix but now ADE just crashes and comes up with 'not responding', every time I try to do something with my new books. I have however got older books from the same bookstore and they work fine. Please help.

ePub book doesn't works in Adobe Digital editions
I've bought a ePub book from Google app store (Google book) and I discharged it from Google server through Adobe Digital editions software but when I've tried to read it, the software suddenly close without error messages, just I couldn't read it.
I've been in touch with Google support and they said that it's a software issue. So could you please help me?

Bought books not in the correct library
Why some of the books I buy are available in the "all the elements" and not in the "bought books" library? (names of the libraries are as they appear in Italian)
It happens only for some books. The shop where I buy the ebooks is always the same, installation procedure remains the same, some books are loaded in the correct library, some are not, and they are available and visible only in the "all the elements" library.
Can I add the bought book to the correct "bought books" library? Apparently not...

I can't open a pdf Adobe DRM anymore with Adobe Digital Edition
I BOUGHT a Pdf from libreriauniversitaria.it called: "Analisi contrastiva delle strategie di cortesia nella lingua italiana e spagnola: proibizioni, richieste e ordini".
This pdf is associated with Adobe DRM protection which has to be opened with Adobe Digital Edition. So I downloaded Adobe Digital Edition and I was able to read this pdf.
The point is that I unfortunately had to format (actually it is called "ripristino" in Italian) my computer. After this, I can't open anymore this pdf. So I changed my password, but it said me this: "the vendor account is not associated with the item I am trying to open"
How can I solve this problem? I already contacted adobe support and they told me that the only way is this forum.

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.10 not responding in Windows 10
Having issues downloading ebooks to ADE from library. Updated ADE to 4.5.10 on Windows 10. Renamed My Digital Editions folder to OLD and created a new My Digital Editons folder. Deleted previous downloads. ADE continually fails with "not responding".

Cannot erase computer authorization
I am using adobe digital editions for school, and I guess I previously had this software because my computer is already authorized. However, it is authorized under the incorrect account, i.e. not my student account. I actually have no idea which account it could be synced up with, I've tried every email and password I have used over the last few years but it's always incorrect. Under authorized users, it reads "29065015531676 | Cloud Library

Authorization Error for bad device key
When I attempt to authorize my Adobe ID on Adobe Digital Editions 4.5, I receive this error:
- E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12.
I followed the advice on a different forum about going to the keychain access on my MAC, but there is not an option for me to allow access to all applications. It looks like this

acsm file loads, can view, fails to read
with ADE 4.5.10, am able to successfully open an acsm file (ade converts it to pdf and loads it into the viewer), but cannot select areas of text and have it read. It worked for ~8 pages of the ebook and then stopped. entering <option><esc> on selected text just gives the generic "boink" noise that occurs when you enter an invalid command in an application.
details:
- MacBook Air
- macOS Mojave, Version 10.14.2
- ADE 4.5.10
- using Adobe ID
- downloaded from Adobe Digital Editions | Download (both 4.5.10 and 3.1 versions, not on system at the same time)
steps to reproduce:
- double click on acsm file
- in ade file viewer, highlight a section of text
- hold <option><esc> keys and release at the same time
- command error sound, no audio of selected text being read
other things tried:
- uninstall ADE 4.5.10 (move app to trash, move folder to trash) and reinstall 4.5.10
- uninstall ADE 4.5.10 and install ADE 3.0
- in ADE 3.0
- erase authorization (<command><shift>d)
- double click on acsm file
- enter authorization
- file loads, can view it, no audio when highlighting text
- uninstall ADE 3.0 and install ADE 4.5.10
- in ADE 4.5.10
- double click on acsm file
- enter authorization
- file loads, can view it, no audio when highlighting text
Any help on how to get this working would be appreciated.

Adobe Digital Editions 3.0
I recently acquired a NOOK simpletouch which uses Android 2.1. In order to open library books on the Nook I need to install Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 or older on my Windows 10 machine. Does anybody have a copy, and will it work?

Is there an Adobe version of a "family library?"
The situation is basically this: My fiance and I use a shared "family library" with Google Play Books, so that each of us can read an ebook no matter who purchased it (you use Google's app to read them). We have two separate accounts, but the books (and other media) we buy can be viewed by either account.
I have Kobo e-reader. If I want to read a book on it, I just download that book from Google Play and authorize it for the reader using Adobe Digital Editions. Simple enough.
Now my fiance likes my reader so much wants to get one of his own, and we have questions.
-Will we be able to "share" our library of ADE formatted books? Could we link accounts somehow or should I just use my ADE account for his reader too? Is this even allowed?
-Can each book be authorized for two e-readers at a time? If not can we just change a book so it's authorized for the other person?
As far as I can tell, Adobe has nothing to say on this issue. Any advice is welcome.

Does Adobe Digital Editions make changes to the contents of the pdf file when downloading it by acsm?
Hello, I have a purchased book from "Google books". When I read online, everything is fine, but when I put the “PDF download”, I get the “acsm” file and open it in Adobe Digital Editions, I see errors in the text as if it happened with inaccurate recognition, but as far as I understand this drm PDF The file is already rasterized. So the question arose: Adobe Digital Editions already receives a broken rasterized PDF or receives it as a text PDF and itself rasterizes, while errors appear in the fonts.
P.S. I contacted Google, they said that they checked my case and problem in Adobe Digital Editions, and offered to contact Adobe. Those. still seems to fail with fonts on the side of Adobe Digital Editions. I attach screenshots, the title shows the difference. How to solve this problem?

Adobe Digital Editions does not show my eBooks [Macbook]
I purchased my textbook on my PC [Windows] and connected it to Adobe Digital Editions and authorized my computer. Today, when I went on my Macbook, the book does not show up (I authorized my account on my Macbook too). The file began to download however it is all blank pages so I deleted it from the documents folder. I do not know what to do from here.
This issue is currently on my Macbook.

ADE sticks/crashes when loading book on Mac OS
When lending an e-Book from a library, a file URLLink.acsm downloads. When doubleclicking this file, the ADE downloads the contents of the eBook. In the end ADE does not react to anything except "Info about Adopbe Digital Editions". So the application has to be ended by the operating system.
After opening the application again and clicking on the book-icon in the library, the applications hangs again and has to be ended by the operating system.
After some repetitions the book can finally be opened.
This has been like this for many years (several ADE-Versions and Mac operating systems including the newer ones Mac OS HighSierra and ADE Version 4.5.9.184862 and reproduced on several Macintosh computers).
Are there better options without a sticking/crashing application?

ADE will not open
my ADE will not now open in windows 8.1 after I agree to change computor I get nothing. I have tried running with administrator but no results. Any ideas.
