My library uses Adobe Digital Editions to download digital books to my computer. I then download from Digital Editions to my Nook e-reader. Suddenly, I am unable to download books from my library loan page to ADE. I have used this method for years without a problem. The ADE page appears but there is nothing (no books) that are on it. 2 libraries where I have cards have tried to solve this problem. I also took it to a technician who was unable to resolve. He removed all cookies and said there were no firewalls standing in the way. What to do now?

Entire Office needs ADE
Hi all,
I would like to use ADE for our entire office, a single person will purchase digital papers and the rest of the team can read it.
Buying one copy for each user is not a problem but it needs to be as simple as possible and most of them are free.
The easiest way we thought to do this was to use a single account for everyone which somehow worked months ago, now we get the "limit of number of machines allowed per ID reached". And now I can see that there is a limit to 6 activations, we are ~30 people.
Is there a way around this or simply a better solution to manage it all from a single account somehow or should we start looking at other products.
Is there a paid version of ADE which would support this.

Retrieving old E-book following hard drive crash
At the end of 2017 the hard drive of my computer crashed that the data was eventually retrieved at the beginning of 2018.
I had one E-book on "Adobe Digital Editions" at the time which I think I bought in 2016. I had not looked at it regularly.
I bought a further book in 2018 which I can access through the software installed on my new hard drive. I have now actually discovered the previous book which is on a backup drive and I have tried to retrieve and display this book using the software. However, it will not reload claiming that the "vendor account is not associated with the item I am trying to open"
What does that mean!!
I don't think I have any records as to the organisation from whom I bought this e-book back in 2016.
unable to de-authorize and re-authorize Adobe Digital Edition 3.0
A few hours ago I posted on an old thread about this issue, but then thought perhaps since that three-year-old thread had been answered, that it might never be seen, therefore I am creating a new question Three weeks ago I had a total crash on my computer. It was not repairable and I needed a new hard drive. I have tried for the last five days to load Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 on my new hard drive. I have tried at least 7 or 8 times to install it. ADE downloads and installs but will not open. Instead it immediately goes to a black screen that says 'downloading library' and runs for hours and hours. Prior to this, it says that they have found books I had in the program and do I want to migrate them to the newly downloaded program? . It doesn't matter whether I say 'skip' or 'migrate' it does the same thing. It is not possible to shut down the window that says 'downloading library....' and nothing else in the program will open. I have even shut the computer off, hoping it will stop whatever this download is, but it is still there saying the same thing when i restart the computer. I could not find any answers in forum questions so I went to Kobo and was able to chat with an agent there. First she had me delete everything about ADE in the computer, including in the recycle box. Then she had me download it again with the address she gave me. (It was the same address I was already using). The same thing happened. Then she asked if I had de-activated my previous account which I didn't even know I had to do. I found out that I had to go into the program on the old "now non-existent" computer to do so, but there is no way to do that. This afternoon I finally found a place on Adobe's site to talk to an agent, but that site didn't support ADE, just purchased programs. He tried to help me for several hours but in the end he said there was nothing I could do if I could not deactivate it on the old computer. I asked him if I should just throw away my Kobo, since there was not way around this problem. I have spent about ten hours trying to reinstall this program and I am very frustrated. He did recommend I ask on the ADE forums because there might be people more familiar with the workings of ADE. Surely I am not the first person who has not been able to deactivate the program because of total computer crash.
Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.10 search not working on PC
Hi all,
I've recently discovered that Adobe has released a new update (ADE 4.5.10). I was kinda hoping they would have had fixed the search problemby now but haven't.
On an Apple Mac the programme is fairly stable and conducts search criteria really well, once added to the library, however, on a PC I'm still having the same issue of a 'No match' message when I search for anything.
This problem has been on-going for over a year now and they have still not addressed the issue but other readers like ARZADI seem to have got this nailed especially on a PC!
Why is Adobe so behind with this programme and not doing anything about it?

Digital Editions se me ha actualizado a la ultima versión (4.5.10) y desde entonces no hay forma de abrirlo. Lo he desinstalado e instalado, reiniciando el ordenador cada vez, he eliminado archivos temporales y nada. Finalmente he buscado una versión más antigua, la he instalado, y funciona perfectamente y he recuperado todos mis libros ¿le ha pasado a alguien más?
Why does Adobe Digital Edition still exists?
I have been using this Adobe Digital Edition 4.5 for a while, and I think it's basically safe to say this is the crappiest software in 2018.
The software crushes basically every 2 mins (I am using Macbook Pro 2017) and becomes almost impossible to scroll down the pages. I used "almost" because sometime it gives you false hope of moving down 2 centimetres in 10 seconds and you secretly pray that this is not crushing again. When it crushes I have to force quit and reopen, and of course you have to memorize the page you were reading because obviously this thing is not keeping your history before it crushed.
I have been fine putting up with this software because, well it's free. But it's significant hurting my reading experience and I couldn't even finish a book of 200 pages in 3 months. It's so painful that I am willing to register an account on Adobe and spend 10 mins writing this just to tell you how much this software sucks.
The only reason I am using this software is because the book I am reading can only be opened with this tool. But honestly, I would be astonished if even one person is in Adobe is even developing & supporting this software.
Re-Opening E-book on New Computer
I am trying to access an e-book which I have previously opened on Digital Editions on my old laptop. I have a new laptop and am trying to open this e-book on it and have tried both my Adobe ID and Booktopia Vendor ID (as this is where I bought it from) and it will not download/open. Can anyone help please? I need it for an assignment!

Guten Tag, habe den Pocketreader auf meinem LG-Smartfone.
Das Passwort ist korrekt und wenn ich bei der Onleihe eine Zeitschrift ausborge und mit Pocket-Reader runterladen will, dann ist dies nicht möglich.
WEnn ich dann meine adobe-ID eingebe wird diese zunächst akzeptiert und dann erscheint die Meldung "Das Programm Pocket Reader musste beeendet werden"
Ich habe schon zig mal die App deinstalliert und es mehrfach versucht.
Deshalb die Bitte meinen User [Private information removed. -Mod.] zurückzusetzen - dann versuche ich es noch einmal. Danke!

zum wiederholten Mal ist mein Account bei Digital Edition mit mehr als 6 Geräten ausgelastet, obwohl ich immer nur meinen Tolino anmelde.
Häufig muss ich mich neu anmelden, wenn ich ein Buch aus der Onleihe heruntergeladen habe.
Mache ich etwas falsch oder liegt es am Tolino?
Trouble opening ebooks on kobo
My kobo keeps telling me that i'm not authorized to open the ebook. I believe I may have downloaded it under a different Adobe ID. I've now deleted that ID.
I contacted reauthorized my computer, tried using both old and new Adobe IDs, redownloaded ADE.
I'm using a Mac.

How do I zoom pictures when reading comics on adobe digital edition?
Hi, I resently bought a digital version of a comic album. I´m using a Lenovi yoga PC with touch screen. And when I open the book, the pictures are way to small for me to be able to read the speech bubbles and see the details in the pictures. How do I find the function to zoom in on pictures in adobe digital edition?

Transfer of library book to Kobo
Version 4.5 of Adobe has been installed on my laptop.
When I click to copy the book from the library and I drag it to the Kobo icon it shows an error and says that I cannot copy the book to Kobo. When I try to authorize it says the vendor account you entered is not associated with a vendor that you are trying to open.
ADE 4.5 Error Code When Authorizing Device
I was having trouble opening a downloaded ebook that I purchased, and had to de-authorized my device, then re-authorize. I successfully de-authorized by following instructions from a previous forum post. Now I am getting the following error message when I try to open the ebook and re-authorize:
Activation Server error - Code E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED
Digital Editions encouter an error on the activation server.

Downloaded books won't open - ID clash
So frustrated!
Download books from ebookcentral and dawsonera as part of my university masters on my macbook and no problem, as digital editions on macbook isn't associated with an adobe ID.
Download books to my ipad (or kindlefire) and none of them open! Digital editions insists I enter an adobe ID and all the ones i try are wrong! It says I downloaded the books using a different ID, but I have no idea which ID it means.
How can I either 1 - find out what ID books are downloaded with (I log on through my institution, and I have tried those login details in digital editions and they dont work), or 2 - disconnect digital editions on ipad from an ID and still open books??
I contacted adobe help and they just told me to post on here.

Slow scrolling and highlighting
I using Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my PC WIN10 . Every time I try to highlight a text, make a note or even scroll the page it takes 15-30 seconds and I get a wait signal. Any idea why it is being so slow? All of my other applications on my computer work fine and have no issues.
I have been read about and seems that a lot of users have this issue. What's solution of this problem.
@ADOBE that you care about this problem or not?
Digital Editions won't work properly
I work as IT Support in a chemical company, one person asked for help because his installed Digital Editions wasn't working properly.
Once he opens Digital Editions with shows just a blank windows, and if I open any of the menus it crashs. I tried to update to the latest available version, didn't work. The only thing that worked was when I ran Digital Editions as my user (that has administration privileges), that way it works fine.
Auto Edit
When I open a pdf in Adobe Acrobat DC a message box opens "Content Preparation Progress.". I do not need each pdf to go through a scan when it is opened. How do I turn this off.
